V1.0.7
- Added Window U-value dynamic calculation to the calculator. Previously, this was using a fixed value of 0.25, and could not be adjusted.
V1.0.6
- Added weather data from 63 more cities
- Changed the city selection section to be a dropdown list
V1.0.5
- Added basement heat losses in the simulation
- Added a Monthly Fixed Cost field, to include non-heating/cooling costs seen on your bills (ie, hot water tank, appliances, etc)
- Adjusted the criteria at which SmartWind decides to begin venting, factoring in the newly considered basement’s cooling effects. A new optimal predictive threshold was discovered.
V1.0.4
- Added seasonal thermostat option, to help simulate the benefits of lowering the thermostat in winter
- Added Halifax, Manchester, Atlanta, Boston and Minneapolis
V1.0.3
- Fixed a bug in the solar power calculation. Previously, it would calculate the power gain, but not remove it from the total cost.
V1.0.2
- Fixed calculation issue that would happen when venting causes us to transition from hot to cool, or vice versa, when assessing the savings. For example, it was previously assumed that if we required 100W to heat, and now we require 80W of heat, that would be a 20W energy savings. However, in some cases, we would cross the heating/cooling boundary. So, if we required 100W to heat, and now we require 30W to cool, it now considers this to be a 70W savings (and factors heating vs cooling prices). Previously, this would consider it to be 130W in savings, which would be incorrect. This situation only gets observed when outdoor temperatures are near indoor temperatues.
V1.0.1
- Added Chicago, Dallas, London, Miami and Toronto
- Fixed an issue with Free/Cooling/Heating subtotals display
V1.0.0
- Initial Release
